niggle66 Just find it so uplifting and really soundtracks my place in life at the moment. Strength of the songs was only magnified seeing them played live at Shiiine On Weekender in 2021. Favorite track: These Days Are Ours.

Calle Falksten A class act. Candy Opera show beyond proof why their reapperance on the music scene there in 2018 caused such a fuzz. What easily could have turned into a pale imitation of their youthful selves sounds like a,believe it or not, rejuvinated band ready to take on 2020. And to just throw the usual Prefab Sprout accolades around them this time is a tad unfair to. This is to my ears more like Liverpoolpop with soulpower. A triumph. Don t pass this one. Favorite track: Tell Me When The Lights Turn Green.

  • Candy Opera - A3 poster, signed by the band members !
    Poster/Print + Digital Album

these posters could tell a story if you ask them. Thought be lost in the post-Brexit logistics chaos in Dec 2020, then turned up at the wrong place etc.... anyway, what was supposed to be a companion to the green vinyl edition is now a merch item on its own (sorry but Bandcamp does not allow it to be free, so I charge the minimum that it is possible...). If you order this together with any other physical item from the label, it will be free shipping. If you only order the poster, you need to pay the postage that I need to pay for it...

about

Candy Opera Liverpool, UK

When Candy Opera released 45 Revolutions Per Minute on February 23rd 2018, it was a belated introduction to a very special band sired during Liverpool's 1980s golden age which has taken almost thirty years to happen. Lovingly unearthed and compiled by Firestation Records of Berlin and available on limited edition 18-track CD, the result is a lost gem that points to a million what-might-have-beens. ... more
